So, today is the day that I share a recipe with you that’s versatile and chock full of health. It also happens to be vegan for all of my vegan loves! I’m not vegan but I love this smoothie. Not only does it taste divine but it’s also very good for you physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually! lol…No joke! I’ll tell you about it tomorrow 😉 Now you see why this is my favorite smoothie hands down! About a year ago I discovered the goodness of that which is cacao due to a simple recipe for chocolate banana smoothie. Here’s the simple recipe:
Chocolate banana smoothie:
Blend about 3-4 frozen bananas and add 1 tablespoon of raw cacao powder, about 1 1/2 cups (approximately) of almond, coconut, or any kind of nut milk you prefer. You can also add ice if your bananas aren’t frozen. This may not yield as creamy results as you’d get with just using frozen bananas. You may need to play around with it until you get the desired consistency.
I’ve only tried it with almond and coconut milk. If you love chocolate milkshakes, ice cream etc. you may just wanna try it…Just sayin’! Oh, by the way you can make it as an ice cream as well. Yes, just use less milk to give it a thicker consistency which is how I usually make my smoothie anyway.
So, you can make this smoothie in the morning and it’s like eating ice cream for breakfast! BOOM! Doesn’t get any better than that! Thank me later 😉
