Self-Care Fridays: Be creative!

“Creativity is the greatest rebellion in existence.” ~Osho

Peace Soulstars,

Make it a point to do something creative everyday.  It doesn’t take much beyond having an open mind.  It will do wonders for your mind, body, and soul.  No matter what you think I’m optimistically inclined to believe that everyone has a hidden talent.  The fun part is finding out what that is…Well, for many it is.  If you haven’t found yours then try something new or revisit an favorite past time.  This week I decided that I was going to take up jewelry making again (I tried in the past and stopped ten years ago).  Can you believe what I could be doing  now had I not stopped? It’s depressing to think about it so I’ll just digress. Take advantage of the long weekend by seeking to explore something new and creative.  I’m so glad I got a head start.  I put some music on and made this:

Getting in touch with your creative side is some of the best therapy you could reward yourself with.  Get your creative juices flowing for the sake of your sanity 😉

Love and Light,

Angelica is my name. I'm a licensed graduate social worker from the DMV who has love for everything mind, body, soul related. A devoted wife and mother whose interests include music, art, yoga, books, exercise, meditation, and cooking. Amanisoul is a synthesis of the name "Amani" which means harmony and peace in swahili and the word "soul" which means essence or spiritual self. Discovering one's inner peace involves being healthy mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. I make it my mission to spread the word on how to achieve balance in all of these areas.
